Yuh Table Lamp

The Yuh Table Lamp by GamFratesi — the Copenhagen studio of Danish architect Stine Gam and Italian architect Enrico Fratesi — continues the Louis Poulsen principle that a lamp should shape light, not merely hold a bulb. Designed in 2017, its cylindrical shade throws a glare-free cone of light downward while a slim top opening releases a soft ambient glow; the shade rotates 360° and slides along its brass stem, and the name, echoing “you”, says what it is for.

On a bedside table, lower the shade toward your book to read without disturbing a partner; on a desk, raise it for a wider pool; on a console, turn it to the wall for indirect evening light. Available with painted or Carrara marble bases. See our guide to designer lighting for small apartments or browse our table lamps collection.

Light source: built-in LED, 10 W, 2700 K; stepless dimming (15–100%) on the stem switch, 4/8-hour timer. IP20, indoor.
