The PH 3/3 Aged Brass Opal Pendant is the pure expression of Poul Henningsen's original 1926 idea: top, middle and lower shades in the exact 3:2:1 ratio, each curve a section of the logarithmic spiral he used to civilise electric light. This Louis Poulsen edition pairs three-layer white opal glass — sandblasted undersides spreading a soft, even glow — with an aged brass top shade, suspension and canopy, lacquered to preserve the finish.
The warm brass suits interiors of oak, walnut, linen and leather where polished chrome would feel cold: hang it over a round dining table, in a stairwell, or low in a bedroom corner as Scandinavians do — its modest 30 cm top shade never crowds a compact room.
